If you have been following us for a while you will know that we are interested in a range of different financial opportunities beyond just forex and stocks.

We have tested out everything from cryptocurrency advice services, to de-fi and staking, passive income, venture capital and more. We are always open to new ideas and concepts in this space – and with innovation happening so fast there are interesting new ideas popping up all the time.

In that vein, the next platform we’re going to take a look at combines two of the hottest trends at the moment – those of NFTs and “play to earn” games.

If you’re not familiar with them, NFTs in the gaming context are “non-fungible tokens” that confer ownership of in-game assets to users of a game.

So for example that could be swords and shields in a fantasy game or a car in a driving game. Where as previously these assets had belonged to the game designer and had no value outside of the game, with NFTs and cryptocurrency these assets can provide genuine ownership and value to the owner.

It’s an amazing concept that is revolutionizing the gaming industry and allowing people to play games to earn real rewards. We’ll be aiming to take a look at a few these games going forward.

To start with we’ll take a look at one such game and that is a virtual horse racing game called Zed Run.

In this case, the NFT assets you can own are race horses, that you can buy and then race to win prizes or put them into a stable to be bred with – and thus earn a fee from other users if they choose to breed with your horse.

It’s been around for a couple of years now and has an established user base of thousands of people. The company behind it recently raised $20m in a Series A fundraiser so it is moving forward at a rapid pace.

We will be taking a look at how it works, how you play the game and what kind of sums you can earn playing it.

We’ll report back soon with our first impressions of it.

In the meantime you can check out Zed Run for yourself here.
