Andy W’s Forex Signals – Full Review

Andy W operates a simple Forex signals service and has been doing so for over six years. He uses a combination of Fibonacci tools and moving averages and trades on the top six currency pairs. His goal is to make 50 pips per day using both fundamental and technical analysis.

Trades are sent out via Telegram and there is also the option to receive them by email and an app. The signals come with stop loss and take profit levels meaning they are largely set and forget, although there can sometimes be updates to the positions.

Most of the trades are on the biggest Forex pairs – USD/CAD, GBP/USD and EUR/USD, which is good because it means tight spreads. There are normally one or two trades per day, in the morning and afternoon sessions (London and NY sessions).

Coming into our trial, Andy claimed to have made nearly 14,000 pips profit since starting his service, which is obviously very impressive and we were intrigued to see how the service would perform under live trial conditions.

We conducted a six month trial to get a full picture of the service, which gave us over 175 trades in that period.

The end result after our trial was completed was a profit of 299 pips, or $1495 profit at the $5 per pip we used.

In comparison Andy’s official results showed 416 pips profit made over the same period. The reason for the difference is that it is often difficult to match the price Andy quotes in his signals, as the price has frequently already moved a couple of pips in the direction of the trade when he sends it out.

There is the odd occasion of course where the trade moves back in your favour so you end up beating Andy’s price, but we found even with having our broker account open and the FX pair ready to trade as soon as the signal went out, we were averaging around one pip per trade worse than Andy.

Overall we still ended up with a good profit though so we are happy with the results, but it’s worth being aware that you may struggle to match Andy’s official results.

Given the decent profit made and the simplicity of the service however, we are content to award Andy W’s Forex Signals a PASSED rating. There’s a lot to like about it and it’s one of the better forex signal services we’ve tested.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: There are around 1-2 per signals per day on average which makes it a pretty easy service to follow. There tends to be one trade in the morning and one in the afternoon (UK/Europe time), although some days there is just one trade depending on how the market is shaping up.

Transparency of results: Andy provides just one profit target (TP) and one stop loss (SL) which we like to see so there is no ambiguity in the results. He publishes the daily P/L on his website, but without a full list of the trades.

Did our results match those on their website? As discussed above, there were some issues in terms of matching the price quoted in Andy’s trades. We found on average we were getting around a pip worse per trade, even with the fastest execution possible. We still made a good profit though, but it’s something to be aware of if following the service.

Trade success rate: The trade success rate for the trial was 48% which is pretty good as there were a number of trades when Andy seeks a bigger TP than SL, e.g. for 50 or 100 pips TP compared to a smaller SL.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are $119 per month or $828 per year, which means you need to have a decent amount of starting capital to make it worthwhile. For example operating on a 1000 pip starting bank, we used $5/pip, so starting capital of $5,000.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED 4.0 out of 5.0 stars

Andy W operates a simple Forex signals service with trades sent out once or twice a day via Telegram. It produced a commendable 299 pips profit, or a $1495 gain at $5/pip, during our six month trial.

Whilst that was a little below the official results of 416 pips due to difficulties in matching Andy’s quoted prices, it was still a very tidy result and we are therefore happy to award the service a PASSED rating.

22nd July 2020

There’s been a slight improvement for Andy W’s Forex Signals recently, with a profit of 78 pips made since our last update a month ago.

That means he is now 153 pips up for our trial overall. At $5/pip that’s a profit of $765.

You can view full results here.

Andy’s official results are +209 pips for our trial overall, which as mentioned last time is because the price he quotes has sometimes already moved a couple of pips by the time Andy sends out the signal, even with the five minute warning he gives.

So far we are losing around one pip per trade on average compared to Andy’s results, which isn’t too bad but is worth taking into account when assessing the service.

Andy’s form has certainly picked up over the last couple of weeks so let’s hope that continues.

Andy W Forex Signals – Results Update

21st May 2020

It’s been a very promising start to our trial of Andy W’s Forex Signals, with a profit of 123 pips made so far after a couple of weeks of following the signals.

That equates to $617 profit at the $5/pip we are using.

Our results match Andy’s official results pretty closely, which show a profit of 133 pips for the same period. The price has sometimes already moved a couple of pips by the time Andy sends out the signal, even with the five minute warning he gives.

So you just have to do your best and sometimes you won’t quite get the same price as the signal, but there are other times when it can work in your favour. Overall for us it has meant our profits are slightly less than Andy’s so far but the difference has been small.

All in all we are really liking this service and the use of tight stop losses and (only one!) TP target. We think this could be a seriously top service.

Andy W Forex Signals – New Review

11th May 2020

Today we are starting a new trial of a forex signals service called Andy W Ltd.

This is a service that tends to place two trades per day, one on the opening of the London market and one on the New York opening.

Andy has apparently been trading for over 11 years and uses a combination of Fibonacci tools and moving averages and trades on the top six currency pairs. His goal is to make 50 pips per day using both fundamental and technical analysis.

Trades come with stop loss and take profit levels meaning they are largely set and forget, although there can sometimes be updates to the positions. Members receive updates via a special app developed for the service.

The results on the website look very good, with over 13,900 pips profit made since 2014. That works out at an average of around 2,300 pips per year.

The profit graph on the website looks very steady as well, which is what we like to see. There are monthly, weekly and daily results updates giving you a good sense of the performance of the signals over different time periods.

Overall then this looks like a very promising service and we are looking forward to testing it out. As usual we will update results here so you can see for yourself how it’s getting on.

In the meantime you can check out Andy W Ltd for yourself here.
